Accommodation: Each property is three storeys and has a large lounge with a plasma TV, a fully equipped kitchen and a front and back garden. The housing is a ten minute walk away from the treatment facility which is a listed building. The facility has seven treatment and counselling rooms, two large community rooms, computers with internet access and a plasma TV. The environment is structured, supervised and safe with on-call doctors.

The treatment program is 12 Step based with holistic and cognitive elements and the primary care program usually runs for a duration of 12 weeks. The staff at this clinic are very passionate about their roles and believe in using the 12 Step model of abstinence. They work hard to break down individual’s denial around their addiction before introducing them to a solution based recovery program. The staff provide a highly supportive and structured environment and many have their own past experience of addiction. They believe
in supporting the individual to make the right choices and decisions for their own recovery and individuals are involved in their treatment plan from right from the very beginning through to discharge.
The accommodation consists of 43 beds in single occupancy rooms. The rooms are bright and spacious and decorated to a good standard. The clinic is able to accommodate both sexes of clients over the age of 18. The beds are situated within same sex sober living houses just a short walk away from the day clinic. The houses are spacious and well equipped, providing comfortable and attractive accommodation. There is access to gym facilities at a discounted rate, further education and volunteering opportunities. Clients are encouraged to work together within their own individual houses to share a percentage of food preparation and domestic chores, encouraging self-sufficiency and responsibility.
The Treatment Team
The clinics team consists of large number of highly skilled and qualified staff including a Clinic Manger, a Doctor, Counsellors, Recovery Coaches, Holistic therapists , Nurses and Support workers. The treatment team provide 24 hour care with a good level of support. For those with Dual Diagnosis there is access to the local mental health team and Psychiatrists.
The Treatment Program
The Treatment program incorporates the 12 Step model of total abstinence, along with holistic and cognitive approaches. The treatment day consists of Process group, group therapy, Step work, workshops and one to one counselling. Clients are expected to attend planned activities and 12 Step meetings in the evenings. The Primary residential program is structured and disciplined and runs for up to 12 weeks. The clinic are able to offer a Secondary care program to their clients with reduced levels of supervision but with the same levels of support and therapy delivered during their Primary care program. This clinic also facilitates a resettlement program and supports it clients in applying for things such as benefits, education and job vacancies.
