Addictions treated: Alcohol, drugs.
Accommodation: The clinic has three accommodation units all within walking distance of the main therapy centre. Clients can, however, stay in their own homes. Socially, there are opportunities for group activities including cycling, camping and rafting. Clients have the freedom to do normal everyday things outside of programme hours but their safety is ensured at all times.
Ethos: To provide a “normal” environment in which to change.
Treatment: The individually designed 10-12 week programme is abstinence-based and 12 step-focused. There are a range of treatments such as group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, lectures, videos, group workshops, outings and individual therapy that go together to make a complete structured programme. Treatment is supported by aftercare, family support groups and parenting groups. Clients are encouraged to attend self-help groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
Staff: The Chief Executive is supported by an experienced team of counsellors and psychotherapists.
