Accommodation: A new facility established in 2009, this addiction treatment clinic is decorated to a high standard. It accommodates 15 people and all clients have their own bedrooms, some with en-suite bathrooms.
Ethos: All clients are treated as individual and offered treatment uniquely suited to personal needs.
Treatment: If required, a supervised detox is arranged. Clients engage in groups and workshops looking at their behaviours, life skills, anger management, motivation and how they can resist relapse. Clients will develop an awareness of their addiction and, in turn, develop a positive self with strengthened physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Treatment is within group and one to one sessions and follows the 12 step programme with some cognitive and holistic approaches. Social activities, including going to the gym, are actively encouraged. During treatment, clients are taken out for a meal to enable them to realise that it’s possible to have a good evening out without drinking or using drugs.
Staff: Includes a psychiatrist, counsellors and therapists. All staff have recognised qualifications and personal and professional addiction experiences. Support staff are resident at the clinic and offer 24 hour support.
The clinic is set in a small rural village in the countryside of Bedfordshire; offering a retreat and safe haven for those in need of peace and tranquillity. The staff at this clinic have a very caring approach with the treatment being disciplined and structured. They believe that anyone who has the willingness to recover can. They are passionate about their roles and in meeting their clients individual treatment needs. The client’s family are always encouraged to be part of the recovery process and if necessary family interventions can be arranged at the clinic to assist this.
The accommodation consists of 2 large detached sober living houses set in the countryside a short drive from the clinic. Clients are transported to and from the clinic and to any other facilities or meetings that they are required to attend. All rooms are for single occupancy and are spacious, bright and airy with tasteful and attractive décor. The sober living houses benefit from round the clock staffing, so there is always someone for you or your loved one to talk to no matter what time of day or night.

The Treatment Program
Clients treatment needs are assessed on an individual basis and individuals attending the clinic are treated as a whole and not just as an addiction. The Treatment program incorporates the 12 Step model of total abstinence, along with holistic and cognitive approaches. The treatment day consists of group therapy, workshops and one to one counselling. Clients are expected to attend planned activities and 12 Step meetings in the evenings. Clients will also have access to a Spa including a Gym , Jacuzzi and sauna . Holistic and massage therapy is also used to aid relaxation and a healthy lifestyle.
Best Suited For
The Bedfordshire Clinic is particularly suited to someone who is looking for a quiet rehab that is relatively small with comfortable and attractive accommodation and surroundings. The staff at this clinic are very caring and will always aim to go that extra mile for their clients; providing a very supportive and nurturing environment. Due to having a qualified Psychiatrist and Psychologist on board they are able to accommodate and treat individuals with addiction related mental health illnesses such as depression and anxiety.
The Bedfordshire clinic is suitable for individuals with mild to moderate levels of physical disability. However for someone with severe mobility problems they do not have the necessary equipment or staff to accommodate.
