Accommodation: Accommodation is for up to 11 residents in either single or double bedrooms. There is a fully fitted kitchen and a large garden. The clinic has a large workshop, activities hall and a personal lounge area. Recently refurbished throughout.

Treatment: Although clients come to this clinic on completion of detoxification, detox can be arranged at a local partner facility. The rehab programme is tailored to individual needs and takes a holistic approach. It uses an integrated model of therapy that includes cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and the 12 step philosophy. The clinic also offers the Freedom Programme for women, a 6 week course designed to give insight into abusive behaviours that exist within interpersonal relationships and have resulted in the misuse of substances.
Staff: A multi-disciplinary team including a highly experienced treatment director who is supported by counsellors and a clinical therapist. A member of staff is on call 24 hours a day.

The Treatment Team
The clinics team of practitioners consists of a multidisciplinary compliment of staff, including Counsellors, holistic therapists, a clinic therapist and a GP. The team works in conjunction with the clinics Treatment Director who has over 20 years of personal experience in the recovery field. Each member of staff is dedicated to the treatment and recovery of the clinics patients, providing a caring, educational and supportive environment.
The Treatment Program
At this clinic, individual’s needs and values are incorporated into their own individual tailored and structured care plan. They encourage their clients to make informed choices and take responsibility for their own recovery and the process involved. Incorporating the 12 Step model of recovery, the clinics residents are expected to abstain from all mood and mind altering substances. This clinic takes a holistic and cognitive approach to treatment, encouraging alternative therapies and a change in thinking and attitude. The program is structured and disciplined and will require attendance to 12 Step fellowship meetings on a regular basis.
Best Suited For
This clinic is perhaps best suited to younger adults over the age of 18. They also address behavioural issues such as self-harm. The clinic accepts referrals from both the private and publicly funded sector and is therefore more affordable than some treatment clinics.
The North Somerset clinic is suitable for individuals with mild to moderate levels of physical disability.
