Sorted is a young people's substance misuse service that operates throughout the whole of Northumberland. The service provides information, advice, treatment and care to young people who are under the age of 18 who are experiencing difficulties because of their use of substances. The word 'Substance' applies to all legal and illegal drugs, alcohol, volatile substances, and over-the-counter and prescription medicines. Sorted works within the guidelines of the Childrens Act 2004, adhering to the Gillick Competencies and the Health Advisory Service model relating to the delivery of substance misuse services to young people. The service is confidential to young people who fall within the boundaries of the above documents. Sorted aim to reduce use of substances and reduce risk and harm related to substance misuse.
