The staff at the South Coast treatment centre really are very passionate and dedicated to their work. As a non for profit organisation they are happy to go that extra mile to help and support clients in their recovery. They believe that everyone who suffers from addiction has the capability to recover if they want to. The clinic aims to provide individuals with tools for living and so enabling them to make better choices and decisions regarding their life style and relationships. They believe in treating each client as an individual, and tailor their care plans to meet with individual treatment needs and requirements. Their approach is very professional and nurturing, providing a healing and compassionate environment that is safe and secure for their clients to recover and rehabilitate.


The Clinic offers very comfortable and homely surroundings that can accommodate up to 41 residential clients at any one time. The rooms are warm, comfortable and well decorated. Four bedrooms have en suite facilities. The rooms are situated within the clinics houses, just a short walk from the day clinic. The houses are over seen by the housing Manager and Support workers; with therapeutic and medical support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Treatment Team

The clinics team of practitioners are highly qualified and experienced in each of their individual roles. The team is led by the clinics Treatment Director and therapist, who is supported by a committed team of Counsellors, Holistic Therapists, a Housing Mange, Resettlement and Support workers. There is also clinical support provided by a local GP and mental health support team.

The Treatment Program

Treatment at this clinic is structured and runs for 12 weeks. The program incorporates the 12 Step model of abstinence and is supported by Cognitive and Holistic therapies. Each client’s care plan will be tailored to meet with their individual treatment needs and requirements. The treatment day is highly structured with a full time table of treatments including group work, one to one counselling sessions, relapse prevention, recovery focused workshops and a range of complementary therapies including Meditation, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Auricular Acupuncture. Clients who attend this clinic will be required to attend 12 step fellowship meetings as part of their rehabilitation and introduction into recovery.
